update

allright no pictures this time just a progress report.

Firstly the deadline of 10th got thrown out because i got influenza and it anihilated me. I spent 4-5 days in bed doing nothing, 4-5 days that were supposed to be spent working on the impala to get it ready.

Now while i was sick i finally managed to locate the 2000 and 4000 grit wet sanding da pads so i've ordered a dynabrade da (really good ~$400) and 2 boxes (1 of each grit) of the special wet sanding da foam pads. That'll all be here early next week so i wont be able to make that much progress on the polishing and therefore as a result the re-assembly of the trim until probably the following weekend ( 17th/18th ).

Craig is going on a holiday to bali for his birthday so the car will be finished upon his return (24th)

He is going to come over this sunday and inspect the car, I polish the two rear corner pieces so he can get an idea of the finished result of the whole car when he gets back from his holiday as when he see's the car on sunday it'll be entirely sanded with 1500 and not looking that shiny yet lol.

Anyway the front trim is all painted now and i'll finish the other stuff during the week.

Also I finally managed to locate the special trim sealing glue after many hours of searching a windscreen company came to the resucue and sourced the special Buytl based sikkamastic glue I wanted. This way I can soft seal the rear lights and other pieces of trim as i put them in to stop any water sneaking in but allow trim to be removed at a later date without damaging the paint its mounted off.

Anyway it'll all be finished and the final product will be pictured on here at or before the 24th

So keep your eye's peeled.
